– Féile na Bealtaine 2017 –
The Greenlane Gallery Dingle
Celebrates 25 Years!
Date: runs through the month of May, 2017
Official Opening: Friday 5th April at 5.30 pm
The Greenlane Gallery showcases some of the most vibrant and distinctive creative talent from both Ireland and abroad. Established in 1992 by Susan Callery, a native of Dingle, our gallery’s exhibition space encompasses three floors of an historical house. Home to more than fifty sought after artists, we are committed to working in partnership with our artists, to promote their work and our unique Irish arts culture. At this years Féile na Bealtaine festival we would like to take the opportunity to celebrate both the strong friendships and the incredible artworks built up with our resident artists throughout the gallery’s 25 years.
Our 2017 collection continues to see resident artists’ plea the importance of sustaining our Irish heritage. Through highly accredited individualised styles, they personalize and proudly celebrate our Irish customs, traditions and landscape; placing our spectacular Dingle peninsula forefront. Each paying homage to the many ordinary and extraordinary aspects of Irish life, they emphasise a way of Irish life that is so special and which continues to prevail, but reminding us too that one day may be lost.
Among the many new works arriving daily to the gallery are from famed artists Liam O Neill, James Brohan, Michael Flaherty, Tomás Ó’ Cíobháin, Tomás’s daughter Áine Ní Chíobháin, Patsy Farr, Arthur Maderson, Vincent Crotty, Margo Banks, Liam Holden, and skilled bronze sculptors Hans Blank, John Coll, Fidelma Massey, James Mac Carthy, Séamus Connolly and Bob Quinn.
We would like to invite you all to Greenlane to browse and enjoy the artworks at this year’s Féile na Bealtaine’s art trail. We look forward to seeing you in gallery over the festive weekend!
