Ben says “Here, the carved features of the ‘Old man’ look out from the block of stone as if having come from deep within these hills and mountains on this ancient Atlantic coast. The glass element represents an eternally youthful mind, reflecting the colours and vibrancy of light seen every day here with its ever changing moods. The 2 sides of this sculpture show that there is often more to be seen behind any solid external surface which may be presented to the world, we only need look a little deeper to see all that truly surrounds us.”
