Christmas Show 2009
12th December – 6th January 2010
Venue: Greenlane Gallery Dingle
This year’s annual Christmas exhibition at the Greenlane Gallery, which will run from the 12 Dec – 6th Jan 2010, is an exciting mix of new works by well established artists juxtaposed with those of emerging new Irish talents.
Pride of place will go to the West Kerry Coast painters such as Tomàs O’Ciobhan, Patsy Farr, Michael Flaherty and Liam O’Neill, Liam Holden, with sculpture by Hans Blank, Fidelma Massey, Ana Duncan, James McCarthy, Anthony Scott – and ceramicist Doirin Saurus, those artists whom the Gallery has championed for the past decade and more. At the same time the Greenlane will also showcase the new works of painters such as Keith Richardson, Sally Trueman, Lucy Doyle, Tony O’Connor, Jacinta Guinan, Michael Travers and sculptor Mark Rode (who created the bronze GAA sculpture on the Manor West roundabout in Tralee).
“There will be a big range of styles and subject matter at this exhibition” says Gallery owner, Susan Callery. “Artworks will also be very keenly priced with Bronze sculptures from €500, ceramics from €100 and paintings from €200. Designed to appeal to a broad range of tastes and price points, Susan continues “This is the perfect time to invest in art as prices have never been so good.”
